At one time they were rolled in Cuba and now they are handmade in the Tabacalera A. Fuente factory in the Dominican Republic, the Cuesta-Rey Centro Fino Sungrown cigars deliver a flavor-filled, medium-bodied smoke and a solid burn as well as construction. It is the official cigar of Spain’s King Alfonso XIII and is world-renowned for their craftsmanship, taste and high quality. The rich Sumatra-seed Sungrown wrapper (which is grown on the Oliva family’s farm in the super fertile Quevedo region of Ecuador) is hand-picked and selected from the “Centro Fino” (which means “fine center”) region of the tobacco plant which is what makes this cigar sing!

The Cuesta-Rey Centro Fino blend features a 5-year-aged Dominican ligero filler tobacco, a Dominican binder and then are aged in Spanish cedar-lined cabinets which ensures the continuation of their rich flavor developing to their fullest capacity. The Cuesta Rey Centro Fino might even surprise you with its natural sweetness laced with a nutty and woody base and an underlying hint of rich, cedar and oak flavors. The strength picks up in the final third of the cigar and the sweetness remains consistent all the way through. Because it does not require to be relit you know the construction is solid. The Centro Finos come with 2 elaborately detailed bands, but as you smoke your way through the final third it is recommended to remove the first band.
